London, The Shard & Tower Tea

Take in two fantastic experiences in the Capital. Take to the heights of The Shard, a modern masterpiece in the London skyline where the expanse of London is laid bare in front of you. Across the river enjoy an afternoon tea experience at The Tower Hotel with its prime positioning next to Tower Bridge – a day full of spectacular views.

 

The Tower Hotel

Nestled between the River Thames and St Katharine’s Dock and alongside two world Heritage Sites – Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. This London riverside hotel boasts 801 bedrooms, complimentary Wi-Fi for everyone everywhere, fitness centre and a terrace with unrivalled views of Tower Bridge, The Shard and the Thames.

Day 1

We depart this morning for the journey to London and check in to The Tower Hotel. Afternoon Tea is served in the contemporary Vicinity Restaurant, which also features an al fresco terrace the perfect place to relax while enjoying the sensational views overlooking the river. Finger sandwiches are served with classic fillings, such as smoked salmon and cream cheese. Traditional desserts are served such as pastries & scones with clotted cream and jam. Free time at leisure this evening.

Day 2

After breakfast at the hotel we make our way to one of London’s most iconic landmarks, the View from the Shard. It is the tallest building in Western Europe soaring 244 meters and 72 floors above the Capital. Twice the height of any other viewing platform in London, it offers unparalleled 360-degree views of up to 40 miles across the city. The viewing platforms are on floors 68, 69 and 72 and offer interactive touchscreen telescopes to explore London in more intriguing detail. Our coach will depart at 16:00hrs to begin the journey home.
