The Derwent Hotel
Located just 500 metres from Torquay Seafront, the Derwent hotel offers a full programme of day time activities which includes short mat bowls, skittles, tea dances, quizzes, competitions and bingo to name just a few, plus the Starlight Lounge is the centre for fabulous night time entertainment and live music. Day 1
A morning departure for the journey south to Torquay. Tonight it's 'Christmas Eve', pre dinner mulled wine, Christmas carols with a brass band and an evening of festive entertainment with top-class local entertainers.
DDay 2
'Christmas Day' The day starts with breakfast and a special gift on your table! You can then make the most of a packed programme of daytime activities, including dancing and a festive quiz. Father Christmas will be doing his rounds in the afternoon whilst you enjoy tea, coffee and mince pies. Continue the festivities in the evening with a traditional Christmas dinner and a superb evening of entertainment.
B, DDay 3
Its 'Boxing day' so after breakfast we have a day excursion to blow away the cobwebs, we head along the coast to Paignton, a classic Devon coastal town with a long sandy beach, a colourful promenade and pier, we continue onto Brixham, a charming fishing town, best known for its bustling harbour and a rich maritime heritage. Dinner in the hotel is followed by a festive cabaret from one of the South West's leading cabaret acts.
Day 4
Our first visit today is to Teignmouth a charming seaside town located at the mouth of the River Teign. It offers a wonderful mix of coastal scenery and Georgian architecture. We then continue on to the cathedral city of Exeter, where we spend the afternoon before returning to the Derwent hotel and our final night is New Year's Eve, a celebration dinner with fizz and more top cabaret.
B, DDay 5
We leave Torquay after breakfast for our journey home.
