The Celtic Royal Hotel Caernarfon
The traditional Celtic Royal Hotel is located just a 10-minute walk from Caernarfon’s walled old town and prides itself on its award-winning standards of customer service. All 112 en suite guest rooms are well decorated and equipped with a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The restaurant is bright and spacious and there is a contemporary pub-style bar offering plenty of comfortable seating. Day 1
We travel into North Wales and a 4 night stay at the Celtic Royal Hotel. Dinner in the hotel.
DDay 2
This morning we have a scenic drive through the North Wales countryside to idyllic Betws y Cooed . We return to Caernarfon after lunch for a visit to Caernarfon Castle, recognised around the world as one of the greatest buildings of the Middle Ages and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The first fortification began in the 11th century and took 47 years to complete along with the town and quay. Dinner in the hotel.
B, DDay 3
This morning we journey to Anglesey making a stop at Llanfairpwllgwyngyll - home to the famous James Pringle complex at Llanfair PG. After spending some time here, we travel along the coastline to Beaumaris, a delightful village on the shore of the Isle of Anglesey. We have some free time before join our 80 minute cruise around Puffin Island. The island is home to an abundance of wildlife including cormorants, shags, razorbills, and puffins. Dinner at the hotel.
B, DDay 4
Today we enjoy a ride on the Welsh Highland Railway, the UK's longest heritage railway. Our 2 hour one way journey runs from Caernarfon, past the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) to the picture postcard village of Porthmadog. On arrival, we re-join our coach and travel to the nearby unique village of Portmeirion, exploring the lovely terraced gardens, picturesque village and shops. Dinner on our return to the hotel

We make our return journey home
