The Palace Hotel

Day 1
A morning departure as we travel south to Torbay and our resort of Paignton on the English Riviera. We will arrive at our hotel, the Palace in ample time to freshen up before dinner is served in the hotel.
Day 2
Day to explore the traditional seafront and lively town centre of Paignton. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 3
Steam and Cruise today, following breakfast we have a short walk to the train station in Paignton, here we join the Dartmouth Steam Railway for a nostalgic train journey along the coast and through the scenic countryside of the Dart Valley, to Kingswear, here we take the ferry across the harbour to historic and maritime Dartmouth, time at leisure before we have a 1 hour cruise on the river Dart, before joining the ferry back to Kingswear and the train back to Paignton. Dinner in the hotel.
B, DDay 4
Today our first visit is a step back in time to Budleigh Salterton which retains its traditional high street before spending the afternoon in the stylish regency resort of Sidmouth, situated on the Jurassic coast, Englands first natural world heritage site, Sidmouth is a town caught in a timeless charm. Dinner in the hotel.
Day 5
A full day tour of Dartmoor, one of the largest National Parks, we will visit the picturesque village of Widdecombe-in-the-Moor and Buckfast Abbey. Dinner in the hotel.
B, DDay 6
DAY 6 This morning we head across Torbay to Brixham, this charming fishing port and popular resort has a rich maritime history and is a lovely place to spend the morning. We return to Paignton mid afternoon. Dinner in the hotel.

A final day at leisure in Paignton. Dinner in the hotel.
B, DDay 8
Sadly after breakfast we must leave Paignton for the return journey home.
