Longleat Festival of Light & Bristol

Best Western Plus Angel Hotel
Originally a 17th century coaching inn, the Best Western Plus Angel Hotel overlooks the market square in Chippenham. The 50 en suite rooms with television, telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities are split between the historic main building and the modern courtyard wing.The hotel's leisure facilities include indoor heated swimming pool & gym. No lift but ground floor rooms are available.
Day 1
A morning departure as we head south to Chippenham in Wiltshire, to arrive mid afternoon at the Best Western Plus Angel Hotel. Dinner in the hotel.
DDay 2
After a leisurely breakfast we make our way south to the Longleat estate for a day of amazing contrasts, first we can enjoy animal encounters from the comfort of our coach on a drive through the famous Safari Park. After time for lunch we have a guided tour of Longleat House, one of the country's finest examples of Elizabethan architecture, dressed for Christmas. Find the giant Singing Christmas Tree with hundreds of dazzling lights dancing in time to much-loved festive tunes. Then from 4.30 pm the Festival of Light lanterns are lit, the display of giant Chinese lanterns transform the estate into a glowing winter wonderland, including dragons and pagodas alongside giant recreations of some of the Longleat Safari Park's famous animals. We return to the hotel for a late dinner
B, DDay 3
This morning we leave for Bristol and the traditional Christmas Market. Located in the very heart of Bristol City Centre, the Christmas market is home to over 50 unique stalls. This is all underneath a glittering Christmas tree, adorned with an array of delightful decorations and spectacular lights, to guide you through the magical market. There are lots of opportunities for lunch as you explore the city before we leave for the journey home.
