Cotswolds, Wildlife Wonders & Charming Villages

Day 1

A morning departure as we head south via Birmingham, Cheltenham and Cirencester to our hotel, the Best Western Premier Blunsdon House Hotel, Swindon. Dinner in the hotel

Day 2

This morning we head off for a coffee stop at Millets Farm Centre before continuing to the fantastic Cotswold Wildlife Park. Set in over 160 acres of beautiful parklands the Park has an amazingly diverse collection of over 260 species many of which are endangered in the wild. Dinner in the hotel.

Day 3

Following breakfast in the hotel we visit, Devizes, "Wiltshire's hidden gem", a historic market town with a colourful Medieval past, wealth of history and architectural heritage with more than 500 listed buildings and a large Market Place in the heart of the town. In the afternoon we visit Bowood house & Garden, Stroll through the Italianate Terrace Garden with its formal design and delicate water features. Enter the Walled Garden to find vibrant borders, greenhouses and wild flower meadows and step inside Bowood House, the cherished home of the Lansdowne family since 1754. Admire Georgian architecture, fine art and historical treasures. Dinner in the hotel.

Day 4

Our first visit today is to Adam's Farm - the Cotswolds Farm Park as featured on TV. Adam Henson's farm is the home of Rare Breeds Conservation and is devoted to the protection of endangered species. There is much to see before we continue to beautiful Bourton-on-the-Water, a delightful village with the River Windrush flowing quietly through. We have time for lunch here before our afternoon visit to the Birdland Park and Gardens. Discover the weird and wonderful species of birds from all over the world and take a scenic walk around the 50 themed habitats. Final dinner at the hotel.

Day 5

We leave our hosts at the Blunsdon House hotel for the journey home.
