Alpine Austria & Bavarian Beauty
Our exciting holiday is based in the charming Tyrolean village of Kirchberg, ideally placed for exploring the stunning scenery and attractions of Austria and neighbouring Bavaria. Highlights include a full-day visit to historic Salzburg, an excursion into Germany to discover picturesque Berchtesgaden and the famous Eagle’s Nest, plus a visit to the beautiful lakeside resort of Zell am See, surrounded by the spectacular Austrian Alps.

Hotel Zentral, Kirchberg
The Hotel Zentral is within easy walking distance of the village’s shops, bars and restaurants. Combining modern comforts with traditional Tyrolean style, the spacious bedrooms are bright and welcoming, with attractive wood furnishings and equipped with TV, hairdryer, Wi-Fi and safe. Most rooms also have a balcony. The hotel restaurant and bar offer a traditional Tyrolean atmosphere, while the comfortable lounge provides a relaxing place to unwind. There is also a pleasant outdoor patio area for warmer days. Lift.
Day 1
An early morning departure as we head to Dover and a morning ferry crossing to Calais. We then continue to our overnight hotel the Victor's at Saarbrucken. Dinner in the hotel.
Day 2
We leave after breakfast for our journey south to Austria, arriving at out hotel the Zentral in Kirchberg for a 6 night stay. Dinner in the hotel.
B, DDay 3
We spend today in the regional capital of Salzburgerland and the home of 'The Sound of Music', historic Salzburg. The old town is a maze of charming pedestrian alleyways with many famous and historic landmarks. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 4
Today we enjoy relaxing at our hotel and exploring the pretty town of Kirchberg in Tirol, Dinner in the hotel.
Day 5
This morning after breakfast we travel to the mountain resort of Berchtesgaden and visit the location of Hitler's Eagle's Nest, perched 6,000ft high on top of the Obersalzberg mountain. Since 1952, the building has been open to the public as a mountain top restaurant offering the most spectacular views across the region. Dinner in the hotel
B, DDay 6
Today we have an excursion to the delightful resort of Zell am See, nestling on the lakeshore, surrounded by mountains. We enjoy our included scenic Lake cruise before enjoying some time at leisure to enjoy the pretty town itself with its shops, cafés and restaurants. Dinner at the hotel.
B, DDay 7
A morning visit to Kitzbühel a famous medieval town and exclusive alpine resort, time to enjoy lunch before we return to Kirchberg and the afternoon at leisure. Final dinner in the hotel.
Day 8
We leave our hosts at the Zentral hotel and head back to Saarbrucken and overnight at the Victor's hotel, dinner in the hotel.
B, DDay 9
Breakfast in the hotel and then north to Calais and a late afternoon ferry to Dover. From Dover its homeward bound.
