The Trouville Hotel The Trouville Hotel has a wonderful setting directly overlooking the sea, opposite the golden beach in Sandown. The hotel's comfortable en suite bedrooms are equipped with modern amenities, including a television, radio, telephone, hairdryer, and tea and coffee-making facilities and all twin or double rooms provide the added luxury of breathtaking sea views. The restaurant has panoramic views over the bay. Bar and lounge with regular entertainment. There are a few steps within the hotel but a lift serves all floors.
Day 1
A morning departure as we head to Portsmouth and a mid afternoon ferry to Fishbourne. After the short crossing, we only have a 20 minute drive to Sandown and our hotel, the Trouville, tea/coffee and mince pies are served whilst your cases are taken to your room. Dinner in the hotel is followed by an evening of music and dancing in the ballroom.
DDay 2
Today we have a scenic drive to Alum Bay, renowned for its coloured sands and views of the famous Needles. We then continue via the pretty resort of Yarmouth to the quintessential picture postcard village of Godshill that boasts some of the oldest architecture on the Isle of Wight, with its delightful medieval church, charming thatched-roofed cottages and a winding main-street lined with traditional tearooms. We return to the hotel for tea and Christmas cake in the lounge. Enjoy a glass of wine and carol singing before tonight's candlelit dinner which is followed by an evening of music and dancing in the ballroom.
Day 3
Happy Christmas. After breakfast why not take a stroll along the sea front before returning to the hotel for a drinks reception and a visit from someone special prior to a traditional Christmas lunch in the restaurant. In the afternoon we have the King's speech and a bumper quiz. Light evening supper in the restaurant and music in the ballroom.
B, DDay 4
A morning at leisure in Sandown, A delicious bucks fizz afternoon tea is served in the restaurant. Boxing day dinner in the restaurant and final evening of music and dancing in the ballroom.
B, DDay 5
Today after breakfast we leave the hotel and travel to Fishbourne for the ferry to Portsmouth. From Portsmouth we head home.
