Winnock Hotel, Drymen
The Winnock Hotel dates back to the 1700's and was formerly a coaching inn , situated on the pretty village green in the conservation village of Drymen, this beautiful, family run 3-star hotel offers an outstanding level of customer service, cosy log fires and excellent Scottish cuisine. All the en suite rooms feature satellite TV and hospitality tray. Please note the Winnock does not offer a lift however bedrooms are all on the ground or first floor.
Day 1
A morning departure for the journey north to Drymen and the Winnock Hotel. A warm welcome is assured at this popular hotel. Dinner in the hotel .
Day 2
This morning we head to South Queensferry from where we enjoy a 90 minute Three Bridges circular cruise with guided commentary. Our cruise takes in spectacular views of the iconic Forth bridges, the Edinburgh skyline to the south, Fife to the north and the island of Inchcolm with its medieval abbey. A packed lunch is included today. Dinner and Scottish entertainment at the hotel.
B, DDay 3
Today we head to Ardrossan and a morning sailing to the Isle of Arran, known as 'Scotland in Miniature'. On the island we visit Brodick Castle, a grand baronial castle set by the sea, bedecked with gardens and overlooked by the majestic Goatfell mountain. We return to the mainland in the afternoon. Dinner at the Winnock tonight.
Day 4
A leisurely day today as we have a scenic excursion around beautiful Loch Lomond, including Loch Lomond Shores, Scotland's most spectacular visitor destination overlooking the majesty of the
Loch at Balloch, the pretty town of Luss on the banks of the Loch and a 1 hour cruise exploring the secret Islands of Loch Lomond. Dinner tonight is followed by a traditional Scottish entertainment.
Day 5
We leave our hosts at the Winnock for the journey home, arriving back early evening.
