A wonderful mix of rail and loch, this great tour for 2022 takes you on a nostalgic journey. Based at the popular Winnock Hotel in Drymen, you will enjoy a steamship cruise on Loch Katrine, a trip on the Falkirk Wheel and a journey on the Bo’ness & Kinneil Steam Railway.
The Winnock Hotel
Situated on the pretty village green in the conservation village of Drymen, the family-run 3-star Winnock Hotel is situated just 4 miles from Loch Lomond.
Day 1
We travel to Scotland.
DDay 2
A full day exploring the Trossachs with a two-hour cruise along the length of Loch Katrine on the Steam Ship Sir Walter Scott.
Day 3
Today we take a journey on the Bo’ness and Kinneil Steam Railway with afternoon tea served on board. Continue to Falkirk and a trip on The Falkirk Wheel, a rotating boat lift in central Scotland, connecting the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal.
Day 4
After breakfast we travel to Dunbarton and meet the train for a journey to Oban, one of Scotlands most scenic rail routes. Free time to explore Oban before returning to the hotel by coach.
Day 5
Explore Loch Lomond with a stop at Lomond Shores for shopping followed by a two-hour cruise on the loch discovering its hidden islands.

Return journey home.
