Ilfracombe is a real jewel on the North Devon coastline, lying within the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On a relaxing coach holiday to this stunningly beautiful town you can admire the rugged coastline, see beautiful architecture and relax in one of the many cafes or bars. Ilfracombe’s town centre is a treat for shoppers and fans of Victorian architecture and history. The town’s selection of independent shops, greengrocers, butchers and bakers, some handed down through generations, complement well-known High Street names, whilst around the harbour and along the seafront there is a range of souvenir and traditional seaside shops.
The Carlton Hotel
The Carlton Hotel sits within one of the most picturesque coastal towns in North Devon. Discovered by the Victorians, it has been a favourite destination with visitors ever since, never losing its small-town charm. Surrounded by some of England’s most beautiful beaches and Exmoor National Park, Ilfracombe enjoys the best that countryside and coast have to offer. Modern rooms, soft beds, great facilities and fresh food served at the in-house Brasserie.

Full day excursion to the attractive town of Bideford before we continue to Appledore, a small fishing village on the north coast of Devon.

After breakfast this morning we make our way to bustling Barnstaple. Full of pretty little alleyways and courtyards. Be sure to visit the Victorian style Pannier Market, with its traditional atmosphere, and the unique Butcher’s Row.
