Beverley’s famous market dates back centuries and is a vital part of community life. It is held in the town centre, and attracts thousands of shoppers every week.
You'll find over 100 stalls across the Saturday Market area of Beverley (Saturday Market is also the name of the main square) and at the opposite end of Toll Gavel, on Wednesday Market (again, the name of a smaller square). The busiest area is on Saturday Market and there is a friendly atmosphere and a vibrant mix of stalls, selling food from around the world, fruit and vegetables, freshly baked goods, arts and crafts, and clothing. Traders come as far afield as Manchester, Nottingham and Lincolnshire to sell their goods. Some more traditional traders have been coming to the market for decades, while other newcomers cater for the latest trends in food and gifts.
