The Foxfields Country Hotel
The Foxfields Country Hotel is situated near the village of Billington in the beautiful Ribble Valley. All the spacious 44 en suite bedrooms are tastefully decorated and have TV, hairdryer, trouser press and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a Leisure Club with heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym. No lift but ground floor rooms available.
Day 1
A morning departure as we travel north to Skipton, where we have time for lunch in this thriving market town before the remainder of the journey to our hotel, the Foxfields situated in the beautiful Ribble Valley. Dinner in the hotel.
Day 2
This morning we journey to Leighton Hall, an impressive grade 2 listed building that is the family home of the famous Gillow furniture making family, on arrival we enjoy tea/coffee and festive mince pies before a guided tour of the home that is beautifully decorated for Christmas. The afternoon is spent at the Bay View Garden Centre for free time exploring their Christmas shop. We include a lunch voucher for their restaurant that offers panoramic views across Morecambe Bay. Dinner in the hotel tonight
Day 3
Following breakfast we travel to Bury where we can browse the famous Bury Market, regular winner of Britain's Favourite Market. You'll find over 350 stalls to visit with time to explore Bury at leisure and enjoy lunch. This afternoon we head to Oswaldtwistle Mills with a chance to hunt for that special Christmas gift with over 100 retailers under one roof, combining high-street brands and unique independent concessions selling fashion, homewares, gifts, garden accessories and much more. Dinner in the hotel.
Day 4
Today we head to Lancashire's famous seaside resort of Blackpool. No trip to Lancashire would be complete without a visit to the Blackpool Tower Ballroom where you can enjoy live music from the Mighty Wurlitzer and enjoy an Afternoon Tea Experience. We complete the day with a drive along the seafront to see the famous Blackpool illuminations. Final dinner at the hotel.
Day 5
After a leisurely breakfast we begin our journey home.
