Ireland, Killarney The Ring of Kerry

Day 1

Depart the local area and travel to Holyhead for our afternoon ferry crossing to Dublin. We continue our journey to the Aspect Hotel Park West in Dublin for our evening meal and overnight stay (Overnight bag recommended)

Day 2

We depart the hotel after breakfast and travel to Cork in southern Ireland. Cork is not only the third largest city in the whole of Ireland, it’s also the country’s largest county. Arguably, the four regions—north, south, east, and west Cork offer some of the most beautiful, perhaps most remote, scenery to be found anywhere in the Republic of Ireland. We arrive at the Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney by late afternoon, with time to relax before dinner is served.

Day 3

Dingle Peninsula We enjoy a scenic drive along the breath taking Wild Atlantic Way this morning en-route to the colourful town of Dingle. We enjoy the stunning scenery and stop at beautiful Inch Beach, which has featured in various famous films, to take in its 4 miles of beautiful sands and views over Dingle Bay and the mountains of Kerry. On arrival in Dingle, the charming “capital” of the Dingle Peninsula, we head down to the main pier from where we enjoy the harbour and a cruise. We hear about the story of Dingle Bay and its people on our cruise around the harbour We have free time for lunch in Dingle and a stroll around this authentic Irish town full of pubs, quaint shops and eateries.

Day 4

Jaunting Car & Lake Cruise Tour Get a fuller experience of Killarney than would be possible with a single form of transportation on this combination tour by boat and jaunting car. Sail across Lough Lein in a glass-covered boat then hop aboard a jaunting car to travel through Killarney National Park, to places inaccessible by motor vehicle.

Day 5

Ring of Kerry Scenic Drive Today we experience a stunning drive around the mystical and unspoilt Ring of Kerry, one of the most spectacular circular driving routes in Ireland. The drive provides us with an insight into the area’s ancient heritage and allows us to marvel at the fantastic views of its stunning scenery. During our journey, we spend time at leisure in the elegant seaside town of Kenmare, the jewel in the Ring of Kerry.

Day 6

After breakfast at the hotel we begin our return journey travelling via Limerick calling at Nenagh, the second largest town in County Tipperary for a lunch stop. We then continue to the Aspect Hotel Park West in Dublin for our final evening in Ireland.

Day 7

An early morning departure from the hotel. We enjoy breakfast this morning on the ferry (Breakfast Voucher includes “swift grill” any 5 items + tea/coffee).
